Rev. Wayne Brock, 65, residing in Mishawaka, IN passed away at 7:30 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Hospice House-Elkhart. He was employed as a carpenter until he was called into the ministry. Wayne was born on February 8, 1946 in Jeffersonville, IN to the late Dallas and Audrey (Brummett) Brock. On May 4, 1968 in Mishawaka, IN he married Barbara (Spencer) Brock.
Along with his loving wife, Barbara, Wayne is survived by his three sons, Joseph (Holly) Brock of Tipton, IN, Dan (Jessica) Brock of Mishawaka, IN and David (Rochelle) Brock of Lowell, IN; ten grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, Charis, Chloe Brock, Isaiah and Sarah Brock, Jared, Levi, Nathan and Isaac Brock; and his two sisters, LaVonne Clark & Carol Humes both of Mishawaka. One brother, Marvin Brock preceded him in death.
Wayne lived his life to serve God. He was the founding pastor of the New Beginnings Church. Next to God, he loved his family and being with them brought him much joy. All who knew him loved him. Fishing was his favorite pastime and would fish with anyone.
Celebration services will be held at 11 AM Friday at New Beginnings Church, 19688 Kern Road, South Bend, IN 46614, where friends may visit with the family from 4-8 PM Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park is assisting the family with arrangements.
