MILLS, Buford Clay Jr. "B.C.," died unexpectedly Friday, June 3, 2011. He was
a former resident of Candler, N.C. Mr. Mills was a Vietnam veteran and retired from Allied-Signal (now Honeywell), in Columbia, S.C. He is survived by his wife, Irene Israel Mills of Zephyrhills, Fla.; parents, Buford C. Mills Sr., and Myrtle Geraldine Mills, of Candler; brother, Dennis Mills, of Great Falls, Mont.; sister, Sandra Sue Saunders of Blairsville, Ga.; daughters, Stephanie Sue Underwood, and Aprille Christine McKay, of Candler; son, Brian Mills of Fletcher, N.C.; three grand-daughters; and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. Austin Watts will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Groce Funeral Home chapel, Patton Ave. Burial will follow at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery.
