The remains of Mrs. Emma F. Kimball, were brought here for burial Wednesday morning July 6th. Mrs. Kimball was an old resident of thns place, living here all her life until the last few years, when with her husband, her home was in Hallowell with her daughter, Mrs. Valentine Brawn where her her death occurred Sunday July 3rd. After years of suffering borne with patience and fortitude. Mrs. Kimball was a woman of rare qualities, rearing her family, always devoted to them and the husband to whom she was ever a help mate in every way, handicaped in the later years of her life, by lameness and pain, she was ever jolly and pleasnt ready to help others giving freely of her courage, faith and cheer to all who came her way. Trouble and sorrow of which she had a large portion were met with undaunted faith in God's goodness. Truly her own works shall prise her in the gates. A son and daughter have preceded her to the other land, and besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Valentine Brann of Hallowell; Mrs. David Hayes of Rumford, Mrs. Albert Hodsdon of Cumberland Center, and five grandchildren. A number of neighbors and friends gathered at the cemetery to pay their last respects in the June sunshine, to one who lived long among them, honored and loved.
