He was born Wednesday, January 1, 1936, in Dillsboro, IN, son of the late Ernest and Luella (Stevens) Knigga.
He served his country in the Air Force.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club.
He worked for Monsanto.
He is survived by his 5 sons, Tim (wife Nancy) Knigga, Matt (wife Regina) Knigga, Brad Knigga, Brian (wife Colleen) Knigga, and Chris (wife Kimberly) Knigga; daughter, Cindy (husband Richard) Schulte; brother, Paul (wife Judy) Knigga; sister, Mary Lou Carf; 18 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Knigga.
Friends will be received Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm at the Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, IN.
Funeral services will be held at St. Theresa Benedicta of the Cross, Friday, June 10, 2011 at 10:30am with Father Tom Kovatch officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery, Bright, IN.
Contributions may be made to the Shriners Burn Institute, or St. Teresa Church Building Fund.
