Alma Sara Vogt, 91
Alma Sara Vogt, age 91, of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000 at the St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie.
Alma was born May 28, 1908 to William and Wilhelmina (Schoenthall) Alexander in Fort Dodge, Iowa and as a young girl moved with her family to Leaf Valley Township. She attended country school in Effington Township. Alma was united in marriage to Albert Vogt on June 6, 1925 in Leaf Valley Township, Douglas County. They moved to St. Paul where Alma was employed by Brown and Bigelow for 32 years. After her retirement she continued to live in St. Paul until 1988 when she returned to Parkers Prairie. She was an active member of Esther Lutheran Church.
Alma is survived by one brother Alfred Alexander of Parkers Prairie and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Albert who died May 6, 1973, her parents and four brothers.
Funeral services were on Saturday, February 12, 2000 at Esther Lutheran Church, Eastern Township, Otter Tail County, with Pastor Kenneth Thiele officiating. Organist was Myrtle Arvidson and soloist, Gene Inwards.
Casketbearers were Anthony Alexander, Timothy Alexander, Alfred Vogt, Daniel Vogt, Richard Vogt and Billy Johnson. Interment was in Parkers Prairie Cemetery.
Arrangements were with the Markham Funeral Home, Parkers Prairie.
