Ruth Edith (Allen) Clark, 78, of Coldwater died Wednesday, May 31, 1995, in Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility after a long illness.

She was born June 4, 1916, in Toledo, Ohio, to George and Edna Allen. She was a lifelong resident of the Allen and Coldwater areas. She was employed by Coldwater Regional Center, retiring after 13 years of service. She also owned and operated a beauty shop in Allen. She was a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary and St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Wendorf; her second Robert Reed; her third husband, Maurice Clark; three brothers; four sisters; grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Surviving are sons, Robert Wendorf of Jonesville, Kenneth Wendorf of Coldwater, Raymond Wendorf Litchfield and Edwin Wendorf of Horner; daughters, Esther Robinson of Horner and Dianna Jones of Colon; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; and a brother, Wilber Allen of Otsego.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dutcher Funeral Home, Coldwater

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Hill Of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial: St. Joe Cemetery in Clarendon Township.

Memorials: Maple Lawn Activity Fund.
