Carman Carlos Loveland was born May 3, 1918 and passed away June 8, 2011.
e was born in Chesterfield, Idaho, the son of William Carman Loveland and Gladys Emily Evans Loveland. He was the first of nine children. In 1926 he moved with his parents from Chesterfield to Nampa, and attended Nampa High School.
He married Lois Valoy Law on May 3, 1937 on his nineteenth birthday. They recently celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary.

Carman was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1944 and served two years at Camp Roberts, California. He returned to Meridian and worked at hauling milk for a time and then moved to Twin Falls where he worked in the construction of a commercial trout farm in Rock Creek Canyon.

Once that job was completed, the family returned to Boise Valley where he worked for Consolidated Freightways for 35 years until he retired in 1983.

Carman was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in two bishoprics, as a high priest Group Leader, Stake Clerk and Young Men's Secretary. Carman and Lois served a mission to the Los Angeles Temple Visitor Center. They also served as temple workers for three years in the Boise Idaho Temple.

Carman loved camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling and returning home!

He is survived by his wife, Lois; sons, Craig (Lorna), Gary (Ann), and Ronald (Linda); 15 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13th at the Meridian 1st Ward LDS Chapel located at 1615 North W. 2nd St. in Meridian. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12th also at the Meridian 1st Ward LDS Chapel, as well as on Monday at 9:00 a.m. prior to the funeral services under the direction of the Zeyer Funeral Chapel.
