Harold Robert Abercrombie, 68, of 144 Neely Mill Road, died Sept. 1, 2003, at Allen Bennett Hospital.
A native of Greenville County, son of the late Rev. Christopher Abercrombie and Bessie Woodall Abercrombie, he was a retired employee of Campbell Painting and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Campbell Abercrombie, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jeff Cooke, of Jacksonville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Zachary and Brittney Cooke, of Jacksonville, N.C.; three sisters, Velma Stokes, of Greer, and JoElla Hightower and Dora Collins, both of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Wayne Jones. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
