William Earl Hetrick, 57, of 101 Taft Avenue, York, died in the York Hospital Friday, July 15, 1966, at 12:30 p.m. He had been ill for a number of years. His entire life had been spent in Huntingdon, until 1963 when he moved to York for reasons of health. Born August 16, 1908, in Huntingdon, he was a son of Christian I, and Sara Ellen (Houp) Hetrick. He was united in marriage to Freda M. Lee of Roaring Spring on January 15, 1930, by the Rev. O.B. Poulson of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church, Huntingdon. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Rita Earlene Shaner, Huntingdon, and Mrs. Linda Lee Snare, Baltimore, Md,; two grandchildren; and two sisters; Mrs. Roy C. Geissinger, Huntingdon, and Mrs. Owen D. Bechtel, Williamsburg. Two brothers, Cloy Hetrick and Harvey Hetrick preceded him in death. The deceased was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Huntingdon. He had worked for the Huntingdon Silk mill and Owens-Corning Fiberglas until his retirement in 1963, due to ill health and was later employed at the McCrory-McClellan- Green Distribution Warehouse at York, retiring in 1965 due to disability. He had attended the Huntingdon area schools. Interment will be made in the Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon R.D. 1.
