Old Soldiers—The veterans of the Revolution are rapidly passing away from the land freed by their patriotic bravery. Ezra Ketchum lately died at Ballston, in his 95th year. He was one of the first settlers of this country; was a soldier of the Revolution, and was one of the staff who took Major Andre, a spy, and rode him into town.

On the 27th ultimo [last month Aug], at Ballston, N. Y., Mr. Ezra Ketchum, aged 94 years, 5 months and 21 days. The deceased was a soldier of the Revolution, and was one of the staff who took Major Andre as a spy, and rode him into camp.[ Note: based on the Gregorian calendar his birthdate is 6 Mar 1748]
