Ballston Spa—Mrs. Frances Merrill, widow of Frederick w. Merrill, 180 South Street, died in the Benedict Memorial Hospital [Ballston Spa] at 3:45 p.m. yesterday [23 July] after a brief illness. She was born Apr. 14, 1893, at Grangerville. She was a member of the Seventy Day Adventists Church, Saratoga Ave.
Survivors are four sons, Frederick, Winford, Allen and Duane Merrill, all of Ballston Spa; her father, Henry Petteys, Ballston Spa; a sister, Mrs. Helen Willett, North Olmstead, Ohio; three brothers, Albert Petteys and Lewis Petteys, Ballston Spa, and Anson Petteys, Corinth; a grandaughter, Denise Merrill, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lattimore Funeral Home, Elder B. M. Heald will officiate. Burial will be in the Ballston Spa Cemetery. The funeral will be open tonight and tomorrow.
