JOHNS ISLAND - Services for Amos Henley Drawdy, 49, of 2482 River Road, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Walterboro, with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 this evening at Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 3220 Burlington Road, Walterboro, SC 29488.
Mr. Drawdy died Sunday, July 23, 2000. Born in Colleton Co., he was a son of Margaret Ramsey Drawdy Peters and the late Willis Floy Drawdy. He was employed as an equipment operator with Leland Farms, and a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his mother of Walterboro; son, Shawn Drawdy of Warrenton, Va.; brothers, Willis Floy Drawdy Jr. of Neodesha, Kan., Robert Drawdy of Manasas, Va.; half brother, Jerry Peters of Charleston; stepbrothers, Lamar Peters Jr. of Bamberg, Dale Peters of Texas, Jimmy Peters of Ehrhardt; sister, Dr. Rebecca Lee Grigg of Greenwood; stepsisters, Grace Suter of Summerville, Gayle Davis of Beaufort, Wanda McLaine of Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
