ALLOWAY, Samuel P. Jr. Samuel P. Alloway Jr. formerly of Vincentown passed away from this life on Friday November 27, 2009, at his home in Bonita Springs, Fla. He was 83. Born in Tabernacle in 1926, he lived in New Jersey until retiring in Florida and Canada. Sam will be long remembered by all who knew him for his many acts of encouragement support and innovative approach to family, community and business. Sam was preceded in death by Elmira, his wife of 49 years. He is survived by wife Ruth Drake Alloway; two sons; Michael J. (Sherry), Samuel P. III (Judie); his grandchildren: Brian E. Alloway (Sande), Jennifer Sietz (Scotty), Katherine Page (Jeff), Robert Alloway, (Danielle), and Jennifer Alloway; four great-grandchildren Samantha, Shelby, Jacob, and Cole. Sam also is survived by a sister, Carrie A. Grundner, The Drakes, and friends of Canada and extended family. Sam founded Jade Run Sod Farms of New Jersey and Delaware. He was active with the real estate community for more than 50 years, as broker, pas president, builder and land developer. He also was retired from the State of N.J., serving the Board of Taxation for 25 years. Sam was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a Member of Central Lodge 44, Free and Accepted Masons. Sam will be remembered by all he touched.
