Born in Mississippi and moved to Arkansas and married while in Arkansas to Nancy Jane Nutt. Nancy Jane died in 1886. Remarried in 1889 to Adeline Ellen Stubbs. In the 1880 Census had moved to Texas and was a farmer. In the 1900 Census, he is listed as a Physician and is commonly know by family members as a doctor. Although living in Texas he died and was buried in Ireton, Grady County, Oklahoma. His youngest two sons born in 1901 and 1903 were both born in Texas and Adeline is listed in the 1920 census as living in Texas.
