SALEM - Alexander, Edith L., 88, of Salem, IN, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011, in the Meadow View Health Care Center of Salem. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn (Jimmy) Cabbell of Edinburg, IN and Carolyn "Sudie" (Danny) Newby of Salem; one brother, Chesney Phipps of Staunton, IL; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home. Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Interment is at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem. Memorial contributions to Friends of Beck's Mill, P. O. Box 288, Salem, IN, 47167.
