Dolly Maxine Schroetlin, 84, of Wheatland died Feb. 11 in Cheyenne.

Mrs. Schroetlin was born May 8, 1916, in Cheyenne. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Artie Viola (Cline) Callen.

She was raised on a farm 20 miles southwest of Chugwater. She graduated from the eighth grade at Caster Country School, then she attended and graduated from Cheyenne High School and attended the University of Wyoming.

Mrs. Schroetlin taught in country schools in Walden, Colo., schools on Bear Creek, Pole Creek, Horse Creek and various other schools near Cheyenne for 15 years.

She married William Schroetlin in November, 1945, in Scottsbluff, Neb.

The couple moved from Cheyenne to Wheatland in 1957.

She worked for the Platte County Memorial Hospital from 1959 to 1985.

Mrs. Schroetlin was a member of the United Church of Christ, the Dorcas Society, and she was active in the church choir.

She is survived by one brother, Herbert Schroetlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; her husband; and an infant brother.
