Robert M McNally, 60, of 30 Gilbert Road, Whitesboro, died June 6, at his home.
He was born in Utica, the son of Francis and Elizabeth Knapp McNally, and was educated in the Utica schools and graduated from Proctor High School. He attended Dartmouth University and in 1948 graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College as the valedictorian of his class. In St. Joseph's Church, Utica, on Jan. 22, 1949, he was maried to Arlene Kennerknecht. For 33 years, he was employed as a contract administrator for the General Electric Company and retired May 1. He is a member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro, the Quarter Centry Club of GE and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. During his enlistment in the Navy, he attended Midshipman's Officer's Candidate School in Chicago and was a Lut. Jr. Grade.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Thomas Schoen, of Whitesboro, Patricia and Patrick Costello, of Utica and Janet and Richard Bostic of Whitesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Donna McNally, Jr., of Clark Mills; one sister, Mary Corts, of Utica; a brother, Raymond McNally, of the Martin Luther Home; 10 grandchildren, Thomas, Kristen and Kelly Schoen, Kimberly, Lindsey, Ryan and Kerry Costello, Kyle and Jeffrey Bostic and Mark Sutherland.
Thefuneral was Monday morning at the Heintz Funeral Home and at St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. As a memorium, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice Care, Inc., in his memory.
