Leaving behind the trials and tribulations, Jacqueline Jarvis Kerr Ashabranner ascended from this life June 7, 2011, following an extended illness.

She was born May 27, 1923 in Carbur (Perry) Florida to Shelley and Lenna Alford. Following her graduation from Robstown High School in 1939, she attended Texas Women's University for two years and was in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She met and married William A. Campbell in 1941. In 1942 she became a WW II war widow with a 3 month infant daughter. In 1946, she married Stanley E. Kerr, Jr. and they resided in Corpus Christi, Texas until his passing in 1990. During their life together, they owned and operated a fertilizer business and a water purification business. Jacqueline was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and enjoyed working at The Bazaar (thrift store sponsored by Episcopal Church). She was associated with the Salvation Army and worked with their annual doll show charity event for many years. She also volunteered with the League of Mercy. Later in life she began a 10 year marriage with T.V. Ashabranner, Jr. Jacqueline was a loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She loved to do the 'Charleston' and work with the flowers in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands: William A. Campbell and Stanley E. Kerr, Jr.; and her brother, Daryl R. Alford.

Surviving Jacqueline are her daughters: Darleen (Earl) Morris of College Station, Pamela (Bill) Stesch of Corpus Christi; grandchildren: Bryan Morris, Darla Easterling, Darlyn Morris, Jamie Stesch and Katie Madison.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Seaside Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be: sons-in-law, Earl Morris, Bill Stesch; grandsons, Bryan Morris, Jamie Stesch; grandson-in-law, Marty Easterling; great grandson, Brannon Easterling.
