Colonel Henry Cole died in Bal­timore on Wednesday morning. Col. Cole commanded "Cole's Cavalry." Maryland Volunteers during the entire Civil War and there are many friends of the dead Colonel residing in Adams County. The members of his com­mand living in the county at the present time are Oscar D. McMillan, Wil­liam A. McIlhenny, Theodore McAllister, W.H. Lott, E T. Wenshhot, George Jacobs, William Grogg, and A. M. Walker.

The funeral was held in Frederick on Friday.
