Norman Edward Faber, 90, of Irwin, formerly of Washington, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000, in Golden Heights Personal Care Home, Irwin.
He was born July 17, 1909, in Washington, a son of Edward Ernest and Ada Elizabeth Faber.
Mr. Faber was employed by Faber's Bakery in Washington until 1933, by Hazel-Atlas Glass until 1946, and by Washington Steel until his retirement. He was a lifelong member of the Pulaski Club and a former member of the Eagles and Polish clubs, all of Washington.
Mr. Faber was a self-taught artist whose oil paintings hang in the Pulaski Club and at Washington Steel.
Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Ratica of Harrison City; one son, Steve Ratica of Morgan, N. J.; one brother, Edward E. Faber of Washington; one sister, Audry Faber Graeser of Washington; two grandhildren, Michelene Ratica and Stephen Ratica; and three nieces.
Deceased are his wife, Bertha Bondarenka Faber, who died in 1992; and a brother, Harry W. Faber.
