J. T. May, age 56, of Eminence, died Friday, May 8 1992, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville after an illness. He was a native of Henry County, a member of the New Castle Pentecostal Church and a laborer at Belknap Hardware, until they were no longer in business.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Thelma Skirvin May, Eminence; one daughter: Mrs. Bonnie Sue May, Shelbyville; two sons: Roger Dale May, Shelbyville and Danny Lee May, Florence; his mother: Mrs. Lorena Raisor May, Louisville; two sisters: Mary Brown, Louisville and Margaret Toombs, Eminence; two brothers: William Carol May and Jerry Allen May, both of Louisville; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude May and one son, Jimmy Lynn May.
The funeral was held at Ransdell Funeral Home, Eminence on Monday, May 11th. Burial was in the Eminence Cemetery with Lonnie Harden, pastor of the New Castle Pentecostal Church, officiating.
