Burl Harry Ballinger died Saturday, March 7, 1964, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Aged 54, he was a native of Hartford City, Ind., and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a machinist at Humble Oil & Refining Co. for 20 years, and a member of the Broadmoor Methodist Church, Lodge 435 of F&AM, the Baton Rouge Consistory, the Jerusulem Temple of the Shrine, Myrtle-Celeste Chapter 231 of the Order of Eastern Star, and the White Shrine.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Marie Wright Ballingerr; one son, James Burl Ballinger of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Marcile Wallace of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Minnie Brown of New Orleans, and three grandchildren.
