HEBRON - Dorothy M. Fischer, 98, of Pine Top Lane, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at home.
She was born in Mt. Vernon, NY, the daughter of John M. & Margaret (Neff) Hoffman.
She was predeceased by her husband, George John Fischer, Sr.
They lived and raised their family on Concord Road, Yonkers, NY.
Mrs. Fischer was a loving homemaker and a devoted member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Yonkers. She was always busy with church activities and the Altar Guild. Since moving to Hebron two years ago, she attended and participated in the Union Congragational Church of Hebron's activities. Mrs. Fischer was a 60 year member of Vernon Stewart Chapter No. 794 Order of the Eastern Star in Mt. Vernon, ny.
She is survived by two sons, George J. Fischer, Jr., of Pisga Forrest, NC and the Rev. John M. Fischer of Hebron; five grandchildren andone great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the Union Congregational Church of Hebron, Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at 3:00pm. Interment will be in the spring at The Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may ne made to either the Union Congregational Church of Hebron, or the Alexandria United Methodist Church, PO Box 37, Hebron, NH 03241.
