Bath, NH - Shirley Ann Slattery, 68, of Hill Road, died on Sunday, June 05, 2011, at Cottage Hospital. Shirley was born in Haverhill, NH on June 5, 1943, to Laurence and Lillie (Stebbins) Willis. She was a graduate of Rockville High School in Rockville, CT, where she was a long time resident. On November 20, 1988, she married Peter Slattery.
Shirley served as the Information Technology Director for The Wood Group/Pratt and Whitney in Windsor Locks, CT, retiring in 2004. Following her retirement, Shirley and Peter moved from East Granby, CT to Bath. She served on the board as the secretary for the Ammonoosuc Arts Council in Lisbon, NH and was a member of the Arts Gallery in Lisbon. She was also a Supervisor of the Checklist in Bath and a member of the Ammonoosuc Valley Fish and Game Club. An avid reader, Shirley especially enjoyed her membership in the Bath Village Library Book Club.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Peter Slattery of Bath; her children, Rory Wheelock and wife Tammy of Clemmons, NC, Stuart Slattery and Pauline of Stonewall, MB, Canada, Wendy Ho-Sing-Loy and husband Michael of Lyman, NH, Petra Payton and David of Granby, CT, Sheri Sauls and husband Allen of Jacksonville, FL, Bryan Wheelock and Amanda of Winston-Salem, NC, Erika LeBaron and husband Sean of Ellington, CT, Brett Wheelock and wife Pam of Coventry, CT; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, June 9th from 6-8 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A funeral service will be on Friday, June 10th at 11 AM at the Bath Congregational Church, with Rev. Thomas Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Pettyboro Cemetery, Pettyboro Road, Bath.
