Mrs. Johana Marie Gildesgard, one time resident of Griggs County, passed away at the home of a daughter in Santa Barbara, Calif., according to information received here this week.
Born in Norway, she resided with her family in Minnesota before coming to Cooperstown, North Dakota, to live on a farm east of this city for a period of 20 years.
Surviving are six children: Olaf of Santa Maria, Calif.; Frank of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; George of Seattle, Wash.; Trygve of Goleta, Calif.; and Esther and Petra of Santa Barbara. There are 10 grandchildren. Mr. Gildesgard died while the resided in California.
She died October 31.
