Stella Smith Baker, one 18 children born to Edward Moore Smith and Mary Jane Wilson Smith, was born 17 April 1886 at West Plains, Howell County, Missouri. In October 1905, she married Oliver Baker with whom she celebrated 50 years together until his death in 1956. They had two children. Stella died 15 August 1969 at San Pedro, California.
