William L. "Bill" Croll, 86, of Delaware, OH, formerly of Pittsfield, MA & Marion, OH, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Delaware, OH.

He was born Sunday, November 30, 1924 in Butler, PA, Son of the late Martin Luther Croll and the late Lillian Gregg Croll.

Mr. Croll served his country as an aviation cadet during WWII. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1950, through the co-op program.

During his college years Bill met the love of his life Phyllis Rullman Croll. (Daughter of Harry & Alma Benning Rullman) They were married at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Aurora, IN. They recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.

He began a career in Technical Sales at HPM in Mt. Gilead, OH selling plastic injection molding machines. He continued his selling career as a manufacturer's rep. in Pittsfield, MA. In 2009 Bill and his wife moved to Willow Brook at Delaware Run in Delaware, OH. Bill was active on the Stewardship Committee in Zion's Lutheran Church, Pittsfield, MA.

He also enjoyed gardening, boating, fishing, swimming, the German American Club and a good joke. His favorite past time was being devoted to his wife and family who will greatly miss him.

Surviving are his Wife, Phyllis Rullman Croll of Delaware, OH; Children, Carolyn Croll of Columbus, OH, Mark (Joni) Croll of Chicago, IL and Cathy (Michael) Riccio of Ipswich; Grandchildren, Gretchen Ann Croll, John William Croll, Courtney Marie Riccio, & John Michael Riccio; Brother, Richard ( Ruby) Croll of Pittsburgh, PA; Sister, Jean C. Ewert of Vancouver, WA.

Friends will be received 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 am. with Rev. Bruce Quatman officiating.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
