ALEXANDRIA MAN DIES YESTERDAY

George Henry Barnes Lived 22 Years On Farm

George Henry Barnes age 80 died at 3 p.m. yesterday at his home one nad one-half miles east of Alexandria on Bethal Pike. He had lived 22 years at this residence. He was born August 24,1862 in Grant County near Point Isabel the son of Jewett and Rachel Barnes. He was married to Miss Martha Shively October 27,1887. His wife died April 28,1936. Survivors are six children, Mrs.Eva Bruner, Orlow Barnes,Alexandria; Mrs.Inez Jones,Alexandria; Mrs.Louise Kirkpatrick,Summitville and Mrs.Eliza McKinley of Alexandria, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive, two brothers Jake Barnes,1621 South G St. Elwood and Harvey Barnes of Alexandria, one sister Mrs.Ella Downing,Hobbs aslo survive. The body was taken to the Clark Chapel and was returned to the residence this afternoon. Mr.Barnes was a member of the Methodist Church at Aroma where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Aroma Cemetery.
