MARGARET LOUISE MARKINS STRATTON, 85, of Milton, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 12, 2007, at the Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2007, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by the Rev. Winford Curry and Rev. Doug Bragg. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. She was born November 5, 1921, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Hattie Mae Perry Markins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Dorsey Stratton, and two sisters, Anna Mae Adkins and Emmelene Adkins. She was a member of Susannah Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Carol Hayes and her husband Danny of Milton; one son, Tommy D. Stratton and his wife Cheryl of Milton; three sisters, Wilma McComas and Mary Ann Scites, both of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Helen Bledsoe of Salt Rock, W.Va.; one brother, Leonard Markins of Ona, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Amy Beth Stratton; three grandsons, David Hayes and his wife Vicki, Dana Hayes, and Matt Stratton; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Hayes, Hannah Hayes, Logan Parker and Amber Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
