GILLHAM

Stanford Otto Gillham departed this life after a long illness on June 10, 1981 at the Carlisle Care Center, where he had resided for the past eight months. Most of his life was spent in the Chariton area.

He was born October 16, 1907 near Chariton. He was the son of Arthur and Ettie Gillham. He farmed most of his life in the Lucas County area.

He was united in marriage on June 9, 1925 to Edna Marie Owen, who preceded him in death September 19, 1980.

He is survived by his four children: Lyle of Galesburg, Illinois; Leslie of Albany, Missouri; Doris Hunt of Carlisle; and Dwaine of Rockford, Illinois; also nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Cecile Irene Ramagos of Osceola, along with many other relatives and friends.

A sister, Mrs. Leila Angeloff, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13, 1981 at the Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton. The service was conducted by Rev. Daryl Bates. Pallbearers were Ronnie Gillham, George Gillham, Arthur Gillham, Phillip Gillham, Dale Moon and Robert Hamilton. Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery.
