Agnes E. Bergemann RACINE-Agnes E. (Sharp) Bergemann, 92, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 10, 2010. Agnes was born in Boscobel, on April 15, 1918 the daughter of Lambert and Mary (nee: Elskamp) Felton. She was united in marriage to Cecil Sharp who preceded her in death in 1965. Agnes later married Bernard Bergemann who passed away in 2000. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and found great enjoyment in family, friends, quilting, crocheting, baking, camping and travel. Agnes was employed at J.C. Penney at Elmwood Plaza from its inception until their move to Regency Mall, which she was a part of during their initial starting phase, retiring in 1988 after over 25 years of dedicated service. Agnes is survived by her children, Rodney W. Sharp of Racine, R. Dean Sharp of Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Michael Dean Sharp of Racine, Daniel Adam Sharp of Phoenix, Ariz.., Kathy Jo (Benjamin) Cole of Fairview, Tenn. She is further survived by great grandchildren, D.J. Sharp, of Phoenix, Maxwell and Emma Cole both of Fairview, Tenn. Agnes is also survived by other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Memorial mass for Agnes will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Crewe officiating. Agnes will be laid to rest next to her husband, Cecil, at Calvary Cemetery. There will be a memorial visitation at church on Wednesday from 9 until 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Juvenile Diabetes, Easter Seals or to the family would be appreciated.
