LEONARD COTTINGIIAM
Leonard Doyle Cottingham, 69, 919 Danbury Drive, Kokomo, died at 5:50 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Kokomo, after an illness of three months.

A native of Tipton County, he was born December 31, 1912 to Loren and Georgia Hudson Cottingham and was married February 7, 1953 to Belva Anderson, who survives. He retired in February, 1975 after 30 years employment as a gear lab inspector at Chrysler Corporation, Kokomo. He served in the United States Air Force in World War II and was a member of Local 685, United Auto Workers, Kokomo.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Michael D. and Terry G. Cottingham, both of Kokomo; a stepson, Ed Long of Kokomo; a step daughter. Nelda F. Hinds of Ellwood; three brothers, Gerald Cottingham of New Palestine, Bill Cottingham of Anderson and Harold Cottingham of Florida; two sisters, Wilda Duckworth of Elwood and Janie Bowles of Florida ; five grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; and one step greatgrandchild.

Funeral rites will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Ellers Mortuary, Kokomo, with burial in Albright Cemetery there. Friends may call at the mortuary from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
