Edward Dale Borders, 11, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Edward Borders, of 1843 Heaton Road, died at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday [December 26, 1967] at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a fifth grade pupil at Mill Creek Elementary School. Deputy Coroner Charles Proctor said an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death. The family said the boy had had a cold. Survivors, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Michele Marie & Lisa Marie Borders; three brothers, Paul Wayne, Larry Thomas & Terry Patrick Borders; his maternal grandfather, Stephen Gathof; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Borders. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Owen Suburban Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens.
