Rosa Koenig was born February 16, 1872 (Src:The Reichle bible). After mother, Emma died, Will and Rosa went to live with their Grandmother Reichle on the farm near Sumner later attending Sumner School(Src: 1880 Federal census)-(Koenig Family History Letter written by Clara Agnes Koenig).

After Carl and Mary were married, they brought Rosa home from her grandmother (Mary) and step-grandfather's (Louis) home. Her brother, Will lived with his grandmother (Mary) and step-grandfather until he was eighteen years of age in 1888. (Src: Koenig Family History Letter written by Clara Agnes Koenig).

Rosa Koenig had learned dress-making and worked at it for some years but didn't like it. She took a job at the Howard Overall Factory in Atchison, Kansas speedily rising to fore-woman. On December 14, 1904, she married Charles Freeman Bush, a widower with three sons; Frank, George and Frederick. Frederick lived with an aunt. Frank and George lived with their father and Rosa. Rosa died August 19, 1916 having developed an inward goiter. (Src: Koenig Family History Letter written by Clara Agnes Koenig).

Obituary: Mrs. C. F. Bush of Brandon, Colo., died at l o'clock this morning at the home of her father-in-law, E.D. Bush at 716 Laramie street. She came here last May for treatment for a complication of diseases, but failed to recover her health. Mrs. Bush was born and raised in Atchison. She was formerly Miss Rose Koenig. She was 41 years old. Her marriage to C. F. Bush took place on December 14, 1904. They lived in Atchison until March, 1911, when they removed to Brandon, Colo. Mrs. Bush is survived by her husband and three sons, by her step-mother, Mrs. Mary Koenig of Atchison, and by half-brother, Frank Koenig of Atchison and brother Will Koenig of Nortonville.
