Marjorie D. Staten 86, of Brandon, FL, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away June 11, 2011. She was born March 1, 1925 in Clayton, IN, to the late Woodson M. and Thelma Gertrude Williams White.

Marjorie graduated from George Washington High School and married Rev. Joseph F. Staten June 26, 1943, and he preceded her in death December 16, 1999. Together they were Pastor's of the Apostolic Church in Drexel Gardens from 1953 to 1958. Marjorie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a former member of the First United Pentecostal Church, Lexington Park, MD, and a member of Calvary Tabernacle, Indianapolis.

Marjorie is survived by her loving children, Marjorie "Peggy" D. Hardman (Rev. Shirland), Rev. David A. Staten (Darla), Rev. Jerald E. Staten (Linda), Mary Jo McKay (Phil) and Douglas P. Staten (Rena); sister, Ruby Brenner; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. A son, Joseph W. Staten; a great-granddaughter, Callie Wallace; two brothers and two sisters, preceded her in death.
