Robert J. Bunn, 522 Oneida St. Huntingdon, died at 10:15 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, 1977 at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Tuesday, Dec. 27. He had been in failing health for one year. He was born in Huntingdon on June 26, 1908, a son of George W. and Ella (Glick) Bunn. He was united in marriage to Marguerite Hearn on Sept. 5, 1929, at Cumberland, Md. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers: Fred C. Bunn, Lewistown; Geary D. Bunn, Huntingdon and Wilbur E. Bunn, Hollidaysburg. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. One daughter died in infancy. Two brothers and two sisters also are deceased. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Huntingdon. He had served as trustee, deacon and treasurer of the church and was a member of the Men's Bible Class. He first worked for The Daily News for two years and then on April 6, 1925 joined the J.C. Blair Company as a printer. In 1953, he became foreman of the firm's printing department, a position he held until his retirement in June, 1970. He was educated in the Huntingdon public schools and all of his life was spent in Huntingdon. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery.
