Martha Robinson, 84, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, formerly of Reidsville, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2004, in a Chattanooga, TN, hospital after a short illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Reidsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Robinson; sister, Bobbie Thornton; and two brothers, Thurman and James Rooks.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Sharon Robinson of Soddy-Daisy, TN; two granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Stephanie Robinson and Pamela and Todd Mayse all of Soddy-Daisy, TN; three great-grandchildren, Richie, Austin, and Will; five sisters, Trudie Spikes, Louie Rogers, Betty Thomas, Helen Taylor, and Grace Ketterman all of Reidsville; brother, Albert Rooks of Reidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 12, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. John Price officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.E. Spikes, Glenn Spikes, Charles Rooks, Roy Spikes, Tom West, and Ronnie Rogers.
