Mrs. Sarah L. Snyder, age 70, wife of George Snyder, of Bean Blossom, passed away at the family home at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday after an illness of one year and two days.
Mrs. Snyder, highly respected by all who knew her, was a life-long resident of Brown county. She was born near Nashville, December 23, 1877, the daughter of Henry and Christine Voland and was married October, 1904, to George Snyder, who survives. She and Mr. Snyder began housekeeping near the present home of John Voland on Greasy Creek and moved to Bean Blossom in 1910 where they had since resided.

She joined the Nashville Presbyterian church at the age of 15 and remained an active member of that church until its demise here.

Two sons, John and Maurice, both died in infancy.

In addition to the husband she is survived by a son, Elmer Snyder, of Columbus; three daughters, Mrs. Sam Mathis (Emma), of route 1, Nashville, Mrs. Charles Basim (Hesper,Helen), of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Robert Miller (Bernice) of Evansville; three brothers, Ed and John Voland, of route 3, Nashville, and George Voland of Manchester, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Emma Strode, at the Snyder home; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Bean Blossom church tomorrow (Friday) at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. W. C. Chafin. Burial will be at the Morgantown cemetery.
