Leonard W. Holz was born on January 1, 1928 in Little Falls, MN. to Herman & Anna (Dahlmon) Holz.

He died at his home in St. Helens on August 24, 2007 at the age of 79.

He moved to St. Helens from Minnesota in 1950, residing here for 57 years.

Leonard was educated at the University of Oregon in Water Science & Environmental studies.

He married Donna Carter in St. Helens in 1952.

Leonard worked for the City of St. Helens for 33 years, 19 of those years as the Water Department Supervisor, retiring in 1990.

Member of Calvary Lutheran Church for 57 years.

His interests included road trips, camping, salmon fishing, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandson.

Survivors include: Wife of 55 years: Donna Holz; Daughters: Shirley Holz-Lundeen, Laura Wellons, Leona Culp; Sisters: Darlene Zimmerman, Ethel Lavern Reedy; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson.

Funeral service: Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church-St. Helens.
Committal service & vault interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.
