Services for Dessie O'Neal Morris, of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8 at Harrigill Funeral Home with burial in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris, 90, died January 5, 2006, at Beverly Health Care. She was born in Copiah County on June 7, 1915, to Charlie E. O'Neal and Mary E. Thedford.
She was a retired production worker for Potter Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Pearlhaven Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Glenn Morris; her brother, Deberry O'Neal; and her sisters, Bessie Morris and Ruth Hux. Grandchildren; Monty Morris, Jr, Melanie Ann Varnado.
Survivors are her son, Monty M. Morris, Sr of Elgin, Okla.; her daughters, Loleta M. Varnado, of Bogue Chitto, and Juanita M. Newman, of Abita Springs, La.; her brother, Willie J. O'Neal, of Hazlehurst; her sisters, Ruby Knight, of Brookhaven, and Lillie O Braham, of Brookhaven; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
