He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late James & Eva King Plemmons. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Jency Mae Plemmons, who died in 1983 and a son, Clarence "Ron" Plemmons. Clarence was employed with Champion International for 35 years when he retired in 1983 and a United States Army veteran. He loved fishing and camping at Happy Holiday Campground and his two "boys" Oscar and Little, his little dogs.
He is survived by one son, a daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow in Morning Star Cemetery.
