Ralph J. Wandler was born on June 27, 1935 in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada to Albert & Margaret (Urlacher) Wandler.

He died at a Portland hospital on January 24, 2007 at the age of 71.

He was educated in Canada, living there until moving to Portland in 1968. He moved to Scappoose shortly after moving to Portland living there until moving to St. Helens in 2000.

He married Mary Daeges in Vancouver, WA. in 1970 and in May of 2006 at St. Frederic Catholic Church where he was a member.

He was a truck driver, welder, woodcutter and a logger. For the last 10 years before retirement in 1996 he was a tree topper.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and welding figurines.

Survivors include: Wife: Mary Wandler of St. Helens; Son: Frank Austin of Clatskanie; Renee Harn of Seattle, WA.; Siblings: Joseph Wandler of Grand Centre, Alberta; Betty Vandale of Langley, British Columbia; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM Saturday 1/27/07 both at St. Frederic Catholic Church.
Committal service & vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, Oregon.
