Mrs. Mary Catherine Osborne, 51 years old, wife of Ed Osborne, died at her home here Friday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church by Rev. James Stewart and burial was in the Hudson cemetery in Green County. Mrs. Osborne was a native of Green County but had made her home here for several years. She was born in Green County on February 26, 1890, the daughter of the late James Henry Paxton and Elizabeth L. Paxton. She is survived by her husband, Ed Osborne, Campbellsville; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Paxton; four sisters: Mrs. Lennie B. Henderson, Mrs. Maude Paxton, Mrs. Mattie Walker and Mrs. Frances Paxton, of Green County. Mrs. Osborne was well known here and was a member of the Presbyterian church, having joined in Green County in early life. Pallbearers were: Ben and Jim Osborne, Olie Mitchell, Alvin Ennis, Leonard Paxton, and Boyce Hudson. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, July 03, 1941
