Bessie B. Collins, 96, died Sunday, September 3, 1989 at the Clarence Nursing home where she has resided for several years.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today September 5, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral home in Macon, Rev. Marc Miller officiating. Internment was at Fairview Cemetery.
She was born August 10, 1893, the youngest of six children, all who preceded her in death. Her husband, Marvin F. Collins, and only one daughter, Frances B. Orbin, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, J.C. Collins of Bridgeton; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Macon.
