Walter Dee Orbin, age 79, of Macon, died Thursday, April 22, 1993, at the Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral home in Macon with Bro. Raymond Bond and Rev. Darryl Ridgely officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Cox Post Office. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Mr. Orbin was born December 3, 1913, at Cox Post Office, the son of Frank and Eveline Tiller Orbin. He was married to Frances Bell Collins on September 25, 1935, at Cox Post Office. She preceded him in death on August 24, 1971. On August 16, 1975, he married Mamie Robison in Macon.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie of the home; two sons, Walter Dean and his wife, Wanda Orbin, of Ashland, and David Orbin and his wife, Donna, of Macon; two step-sons, Robert and his wife, Bonnie Robison, of Jefferson City, and Carol L. and his wife, Sharon Robison, of Franklin, N.C.; seven grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; two brothers, Denver Orbin of Macon and Gaylord Orbin of Richmond, Minn.; and one brother-in-law and and his wife, J.C. and Marjorie Collins of Bridgeton.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances; his parents; one sister, Myrtle Orbin; and three brothers, Wilbur, Roy and Glenn Orbin.
Mr. Orbin was a member of the Fairview Christian Church at Cox Post Office and was an active board member. He was a life-long Macon County resident. He farmed at Cox until he retired and moved to Macon.
Memorials may be made to the Fairview Cemetery.
