CHARLES EDWARD 'Mick' McSWEENEY was the sixth of eight children born to John and Flora McSweeney. He was born on November 6th, 1896 in St. John, Washington

His father was JOHN McSWEENEY [1867-1940] of County Cork, Ireland, who immigrated to the United States, becoming a U.S. citizen on February 16, 1888; -and-

His mother, FLORA ROSENKRANZ, [1874-1941] immigrated with her family from Austria to New York in 1885 on the ship named 'Fulda'. The family traveled to Wisconsin, where 2 more children were born.

CHARLES married LORENA DICK FLOYD on June 23, 1919, in Colfax, Washington at the residence of J.H. Bainton. The officiating minister was Reverend George F. Newman. The witnesses were Mr. Rob H. Morrell and Mr. Fred Seeber.

The couple lived in Colfax and other cities in Washington State. Mick owned and managed the
McSweeney Tractor dealership in Colfax.

Mick and Lorena had two daughters:
*Jean 'LaVonne' McSweeney and
*Fern Elizabeth 'Bibbet' McSweeney.

Mick passed away in 1972 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and is buried in the St. John, Cemetery next to his wife Lorena.
