Miles Ray Blair of Oneida Township, Huntingdon R.D.2, died last evening, Wednesday, January 5, 1966 at 8:40 o'clock at his late home. He had been in failing health since September 1965. He was born October 15, 1904 at Miller Township, Huntingdon County, the son of Herbert F. and Mary(Greene) Blair. He was united in marriage with Mary McCartney in 1950. Surviving , in addition to his wife are his mother of Hollidaysburg; two daughters, Mrs. Paul L. (Kathleen) Gibboney of Huntingdon R.D.2 and Miss Terry Lee Blair at home; one step-daughter, Mrs. Howard (Anne) States of Big Springs, Texas; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother; Mrs. Henry (Martha) Jackson of Huntingdon R.D.1; James H. Blair of Huntingdon, Mrs. E.L. (Anna) Swanger of Huntingdon R.D.3; Mrs. Joseph (Louise) Gill of Juniata, Altoona and Mrs. George (Jean) Shires of Huntingdon R.D.2. One sister preceded him in death. Mr. Blair, a carpenter by trade, was employed by the H.B. Alexander Construction firm of Harrisburg and was working at the Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corp. when he became ill. He had spent his entire life in the Huntingdon area. He was of the Methodist faith and belonged to the Loyal Order of the Moose, Huntingdon Lodge, and to the Johnstown Council of Carpenters and Jointers Union. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery.
