Born in Fairton, NJ, son of the late Leslie R. and Carrie R. Hannan Husted, he was the husband of Evelyn Hiles Husted.
Mr. Husted was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army as a Technical Sergeant in Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He was employed by the former A&P grocery store chain as manager for 37 years, retiring in 1975. He later became a realtor associate with Charles Patitucci Agency in Bridgeton.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 62 years are : one daughter, Priscilla Cunningham of Brigantine, NJ; two granddaughters, Christine Leslie Cunningham of Owings Mills, MD, and Rebecca Lynn Mannel and her husband, David, of St. Augustine, FL; and one sister, Pauline Husted of Quarryville, PA. He was predeceased by a brother, L. Wayne Husted.
Mr. Husted was a long-time member of the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Bridgeton, where he served as trustee and church treasurer for many years before moving to Pennsylvania. The pastor, Rev. Neil J. Lodge will conduct funeral services on Tuesday, February 11 at 1:30 pm from the SRAY FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave., Upper Deerfield Township, Bridgeton, NJ. Interment in the family plot at Overlook Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday from 1-1:30 prior to the services.
