He was the son of the late Emmitt Brance and Fannie Bell (Cain)Thompson. He was first married to Clara Dudles(Jackson) Thompson, and following her death, married Nora (England) Thompson, who survives. Survivors include four sons, Jesse Boyd, James, Danny Joe and Jerry Frank.Three daughters Wanda Sue, Connie and Mary Frances.He was a retired employee of the Ky Hiway Department,and a member of the Hestand Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW11.
