Services for Robert K. Slaughter, 90, of 514 Lewis St., Rock Springs were conducted Monday, March 19 at the Vase Funeral Chapel. Bishop Gregory W. Messel officiated.
Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery.
Joe Rogers, Gene Mangamen, Rondo Lorenzon, Joe Gatti, Ray Lorenzon and Floyd Kaul served as pallbearers.
Ed Kessaler, Emil Bartolic, Gene Lane, Angelo Anselmi, Ted TYnsky and Alan Easton served as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Slaughter died Friday, March 16 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County following a long illness.
He was born in Hinckley, Utah on Aug. 26, 1893, the son of the late Frank and Hannah Terry Slaughter. He attended schools in Hinckley and married Fanny Losee in Hinckley on June 27, 1914. She preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 1980.
Mr. Slaughter was a retired foreman for the Sweetwater County Road and Bridge Dept. and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include daughter Vaun Telck of Rock Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doe and Elaine Slaughter of Green River and Russ and Wanda Slaughter of Hawthorne, Calif., one sister, Gwen Bloomfield of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Slaughter was preceded in death by one daughter, Verle Slaughter, who died in 1932 and several brothers and sisters.
